Many pieces in the Sappho Collection are created out of rare water-blue tourmaline and labradorite symbolizing the Mediterranean Sea, deep purple baroque pearls and Super Seven stones representing the Greek Valerian flower, crystal which derives from the Ancient Greek word krustallos, and gold which was the primary material that Ancient Greeks used in jewelry.
